Elissa Brewster Langston

For the past 20 years, Elissa Brewster Langston’s practice has primarily focused on advising senior executives in the healthcare industry on risks and compliance with federal and state laws, while simultaneously managing the day-to-day legal operations of their organizations. She has collaborated with various companies and individuals to enhance technology, revenue, and operations for healthcare organizations, dedicating her time to reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts and agreements.

As a highly accomplished attorney, Elissa R. Brewster’s experience includes providing counsel to a variety of organizations based in the Houston area. Most recently, she supported Acclara Solutions/Tegria RCM as their Corporate Attorney, Christus Health TLRA as Legal Counsel and Privacy Officer, and Downhole Technology as a Contracts Manager.

She received her Bachelor of Arts from The University of Texas at Austin in 1998, her Juris Doctor from the New England School of Law in 2001, her Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2011, and a Graduate Certificate in Health and Hospital Law from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2016.

Elissa currently is a Member of the Board for Fort Bend Family Promise, an active member of Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce and has served as a panelist at the Texas Health Care Transactions Conference in October 2022 and was a finalist for Houston Business Journal’s “Outstanding Solo General Counsel” in 2012, where she was honored for her innovation and ability to collaborate across many lines of business. She has recently remarried to her wonderful and supportive husband, CSM Richard Langston and has two children: Ellora Bird, (15) avid volleyball player and Jackson Bird (11) a proficient gamer.
