A proponent of proactive legal planning, Angelle Adams is not only a fierce litigator but knows how to helps business owners maximize their success by avoiding legal problems before they arise. With over 15 years of experience as a civil litigator, Angelle has seen how a lawsuit can derail a company’s success. Having defended a range of clients from billion dollar companies to mom and pop shops, Angelle leverages her experience to protect and safeguard businesses for the long-term.

 

Angelle is skilled in representing clients through all phases of trial practice as well as various forms of alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration and mediation.  When litigation does arise, Angelle believes that the key to effective and efficient case management is maintaining an astute knowledge of the facts and law; communicating timely with the client; and being prepared. As a result, Angelle frequently achieves a favorable outcome for her clients. 

Prior to joining Johnsen Law, Angelle was a Partner with Strongin ǁ Burger LLP, where she managed the Houston office. Angelle has practiced complex civil litigation in a variety of matters involving construction defect, employment, breach of contract, personal injury, and general business disputes. Notably, she was a significant team member in the successful defense of Halliburton in connection with all civil litigation and investigations concerning BP's Macondo well (Deepwater Horizon) blowout in the Gulf of Mexico, the largest environmental lawsuit in the history of the United States.  

 

Angelle has served as a board member of several professional organizations during her career, including the San Antonio Black Lawyer's Association, Houston Lawyers Association, and the African American Lawyers' Section of the State Bar of Texas. She is also a member of Phi Delta Phi, the American Trial Lawyers Association, and Houston Bar Association. 

In her free time, Angelle enjoys yoga, volunteer work and participating in a variety of outdoor activities.
